Dr. Krayton Struve
Growing up on her family's farm just south of Granville, Iowa, Dr. Krayton (Schnepf) Struve developed a strong sense of community and a down-to-earth approach that she brings to her practice every day. Her passion for healthcare led her to the University of South Dakota, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Biology in 2020.
Driven by a desire to make a tangible difference in people's lives, Dr. Struve pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Iowa, graduating in 2024. There, she honed her skills and deepened her understanding of comprehensive dental care.
Family and community remain central to Dr. Struve's life. Alongside her husband, Damon, and their son, Crosby, she cherishes spending quality time outdoors, cheering on their favorite sports teams, and making sure to catch "Wheel of Fortune" together each evening at 6:30 – a fun family ritual! Their commitment extends beyond their home, as they actively participate in various volunteer initiatives in Paullina.
TONIA, RDH (Dental Hygienist)
Tonia is a proud Marcus native and a dedicated Dental Hygienist helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. She strives to establish caring relationships with each and every patient, while educating them on solutions to their personal oral concerns
While she cherishes the memory of her late husband, Matt, with whom she has four sons, oTonia has joyfully entered a new chapter, marrying Dan, a local farmer, in 2024. Together, they embrace the lively dynamic of their blended family, which includes seven active children.
Beyond her professional and family life, Tonia is deeply involved in her church community, sharing her musical talents in the praise band and guiding young people through her work directing the youth programs.
KIM, RDA (Dental Assistant)
Kim grew up in Marcus, Iowa, and felt a strong pull to return to her roots to raise her own family. After earning her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification in 2015, she happily came back to the area, bringing her expertise and warm personality with her.
Kim's nurturing nature extends beyond her professional role; she is a true animal enthusiast with a deep appreciation for all creatures. In addition to her love for animals, Kim also has a passion for music.
When she's not assisting patients and brightening smiles, Kim cherishes her free time spent with her husband, Omar, and their three wonderful children: Eban, Tayden, and Tinley.
MEL (Care Coordinator)
Mel has been a consistent and reliable member of the Paullina Dental team for the past 10 years, ensuring the smooth operation of the office. She is married to her husband, Rod, and they have two children together, Addison and Conor.
Outside of her work at the dental practice, Mel enjoys cooking and is a regular supporter of Addison and Conor at their various activities.
FAITH, RDH (Dental Hygienist)
Faith has been a dedicated member of the Paullina Dental team since 1999, bringing over two decades of experience and a warm, familiar presence to the practice. A 1995 graduate of the University of South Dakota, Faith's commitment to the community extends beyond the office.
She lives on a farm near Primghar with her husband, Joe, and fully embraces the rural lifestyle, actively participating in their farming and cattle-feeding operations. Their family has grown over the years, and they now cherish time spent with their three adult children. For relaxation and making lasting memories, Faith especially enjoys vacationing at the beautiful Big Spirit Lake.
What truly resonates with Faith is the connection she builds with her patients. She finds great satisfaction in partnering with them on their journey to achieve and maintain optimal oral health, fostering a comfortable and trusting environment.
